Just got my Streamyx installed few minutes ago. A little fed up with the Maxis Broadband I had for a year. Nothing wrong with the speed, just that due the "Fair Usage Policy" in which I had only 3GB to use, it'll be used up in less than a month, even though I don't download movies, maybe a little bit of mp3 now and then. I am sure Streamyx has the same policy but like my friend says it might be the best of the worse. Haha.
Just tested the speed. Looks quite ok, but this always happens when you first started using it. After a while, complains will come.

This is the speed of my Maxis Broadband. Number is still looking good now as my account is reset every 14th of the month, so considered still in the early stage lah. In a little over half a month, after using up my limit, the speed will be about less than half of what you see. And at times, logging into my gmail or my yahoo emails would take minutes and sometimes even had hard time logging in. Well, if you are not a heavy user, Maxis is not that bad (of course this still depends very much on the coverage area).
No chance of using UNIFI just yet at my place, hopefully will get the access soon. For now, let me enjoy the little increment of internet speed!
