I took Joe to Batu Caves on Wednesday. After snapping some photos there, I drove him up to Genting Highland, a place, where I have not been for quite a number of years. The place hasn't changed much. The drive up was ok. We wanted to use the cable car at Gotong Jaya but the service was suspended as it was closed for maintenance. So we drove up and parked our car at First World Hotel. Roads were kind of confusing leading to the car park.
We did enjoy the cool air up in Genting, although it wasn't as cold as before, but it was a nice change of weather from KL. Then I remembered that Casey, the Running Chef, is working as a chef in one of the hotel, so contacted him. He invited us to Coffee Terrace in Maxim Genting Hotel.

We chatted for a while and stayed for dinner. Casey then mentioned my team mate from Energizer Run, Wei Xiang (team leader of Kakithon), is working as an intern in Genting. He came over too. So now, the Running Chef has a new running companion. Both are fast runners with Casey clocking a sub-3 hours marathon time a number of races.
There were so many varieties of food at Coffee Terrace that we just couldn't possibly try all of it! But Joe really did enjoyed his meal as he was saying he was just thinking about having all the food in one roof just the night before. And it happened!

Is Casey giving points/tips in running or cooking??
Joe took a flight out from KL this morning heading to San Francisco where he will spent months there and hopefully to land a job in Canada. As for me, I got to get back to my training soon.
