Painful Dayz....

After getting a fever and a sore throat on Sun, I got my wisdom tooth removed. Anyway, I already got my appointment made for today and I hate going to dentist, so I thought I just get it done and over with.

I went to this dental clinic my friend introduced in Damansara Uptown (iSmile). Pretty posh office when I walked in, then I thought, alamak, going to costs me a BOMB! I was pretty nervous waiting at the lounge area. When my name was called out, this is it.

Dr. Amy checked my tooth and told me it's advisable to removed it or the other way is to do a root canal I think, which can costs up to RM1000! Anyway, I already prepared myself to get the tooth extracted so I went for it. All I want to know from the doc was whether it hurts. She reassured me that it shouldnt hurt much. Ok......

I had an X ray before the surgery. Then, she gave me an anesthetic injection and made me wait a while before it takes affect. Then my mouth started to feel funny and numbed. She poked it with something and asked me whether I felt anything, I said yes but not a lot. Then I think she gave me a little more anasthetic. After that, the surgery starts. I kept waiting for the painful feeling but to my surprise I don't feel any pain except some pressure.

After an hour or less, my tooth was removed and she adviced me on what to do or not to do after that. Some of it were:

• Not to take hot drink or food
• Cold drinks are advisable
• To bite on the cotton swab to apply pressure and help it to stop the bleeding

I thanked the doc and walked out to pay my bill, which works out to be RM195. Ouch! Who asked me not to take care of my tooth......!

To all kids out there...please take care of your teeth while you are young or older!

They gave me some painkiller tablets. I thought I wouldnt really need it as at that point of time still not a lot of pain. It was not until 2-3 hours later when the pain started. Well I had to take porridge and even that I just had to swallow the whole thing without chewing! And quickly took the painkiller. Felt much better now and think am going to sleep early tonight. Some more my sore throat is not fully healed yet!
